Founded in 2024, Tattoo the Lake, LLC was brought to life by Jessica Williams and Joshua Allen. Josh, a skilled artist with over 20 years of experience and Fiancé Jess, with a background in accounting and bookkeeping, wanted to create a shop that focused on quality and creativity.
Located along beautiful Canandaigua Lake, part of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York. We are just minutes away from concert venue CMAC, FLCC, numerous wineries, breweries, air BnB's and a public beach. Please note all visitors must be 18 or older and not under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Please no pets, food or drinks (water is okay). We are CASH ONLY at this time.
Joshua Allen has been tattooing for close to 25 years and has worked in both street shops and private studios. He specializes in Japanese and American Traditional tattoos but can bring just about any idea to life. He can do something small and simple or a full sleeve. He would love to tattoo his flash so check it out and book an appointment with him!
We love our customers, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.

Congratulations! You've been tattooed! That's just the first part of your new tattoo, the rest is up to you. Here is some aftercare advice to heal that tattoo safely.
*You will leave your appointment with the tattoo cleaned and wrapped in plastic wrap, leave that on as long as possible the day of the tattoo, it may look oozy and gross by the end of the day, don't worry, that's normal.
*It may be sore and/or swollen for a while, your skin just took a beating, using an ice pack on the outside of the plastic wrap is okay.
*When you take the wrap off clean the tattoo carefully with mild soap and water, it might look like you're washing some ink off, don't panic, it's normal.
*Pat dry with clean paper towels and wrap it back up with plastic wrap if it will be rubbing on clothes or potentially getting dirty.
*When the tattoo is not wrapped, clean carefully, pat dry and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion (we recommend Lubriderm). Do not rewrap with lotion!
*After 2 or 3 days the tattoo will start to peel. During the peeling phase, clean it carefully and apply a thin layer of fragrance-free lotion when not wrapped.
*During peeling it will look like ink is also peeling off, don't panic this is normal.
*The healing process should take 1-2 weeks, if you take care of it and keep it clean and free from rubbing on clothes it should heal up beautifully.
During healing DO NOT:
*Allow tattoo to rub on clothing
*Get the tattoo dirty
*Use Neosporin or any type of ointment
*Use excessive amounts of lotion
*Pick or scratch the tattoo (we know it itches but leave it alone!)
*Expose it to direct sunlight
*Submerge in water (no baths or swimming)
Treat the tattoo as an open wound and use common sense. Contact us with any questions.
